PM awas yojana gramin is a rural housing project but along with housing assistance it will also converge with various other schemes of Indian government to provide basic amenities of households.

• Aims at providing pucca house to all house holds living in 0, 1, 2 wall kutcha house with kutcha roof.
• Under PM awas yojana Financial assistance of rupees 120000 in plains and 130000 in hilly areas.
• Beneficiaries of PM awas yojana gramin will also get 90/95 persondays under MGNREGS.
• Those beneficiaries who are old and not able to do work under MGNREGS Then, their 90/95 personsday may be contributed by another person.
• Beneficiaries who has already exhausted their 100 persondays under MGNERGS can also appoint another person.
• Houses sanctioned under PM awas Yojana gramin will also get assistance of rupees 12000 for construction of toilet under SBMG ( swatch bharat mission gramin).
• Pradhan mantri awas yojana gramin beneficiaries will also get electricity connection under Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gram jyoti Yojana (DDUGJT).
• Drinking water facility to Pradhan mantri awas yojana gramin beneficiaries will be provided through National Rural Drinking water programme (NRDWP).
• PMAY gramin yojana beneficiary will also get LPG connection under Pradhan mantri Ujjawala yojana (PMUY).
• Minimum size of house under PMAY gramin yojana is 25sq.mt.
• If beneficiary is old or Physically disabled then Government will provide full assistance and make all the arrangements to get their house constructed (House construction is done under mason training program).
• Landless households will be provided with land from government holding in addition to financial assistance of 120000/130000 rupees

Beneficiary selection process under PMAY Gramin | Pradhan mantri awas yojana gramin

Beneficiaries of PM awas yojana gramin are selected on the basis of housing deprivation parameter in the socio economic and caste census 2011 (SECC 2011). SECC 2011 provided most accurate data and help in targeting beneficiary who are genuinely deprived of pucca house. SECC 2011 is considered only to make a list of beneficiaries who will get house under Pradhan mantri awas yojana gramin or PMAY gramin yojana (list is known as permanent waiting list) and out of this permanent waiting list government will finalize certain number of beneficiaries each year who will get funds for house construction. This annual housing list is prepared based on various deprivation factors which we will se below:

Selection process for permanent waiting list under PM awas yojana gramin or PMAY rural.

All the below categories are automatically included under PM awas yojana gramin or PMAY rural –

• List of kutcha house under PMAY rural or PM awas yojana gramin is prepared on the basis of Housing deprivation parameter in the Socio economic and caste censes 2011.
• Then this list is confirmed by the gram Shabhas and panchayat level, they will make deletion or addition of any household who is left outside parameters of SECC 2011.
• Kutcha houses having 0, 1, 2 rooms with kutcha roof are included under PMAY Gramin or Pradhan mantri awas yojana gramin
• Households without any shelter are covered PM awas yojana or PM rural.
• Destitute living on the alms are covered under PMAY Gramin or Pradhan mantri awas yojana gramin.
• Manual scavenger are also included.
• Primitive tribal groups are included under PM awas yojana.
• Legally released bounded laborers are covered under Pradhan mantri awas yojana.

Who are not included in PM awas yojana gramin or PMAY rural.

There are total 13 parameters set by government of India and households with kutcha house of 0, 1, 2 rooms and kutcha roof but are fulfilling any one of the 13 parameters are kept excluded from this scheme.

• Households having Two. three or four wheeler and motorised boat are excluded from PM awas yojana gramin or PMAY rural.
• Households having mechanised three or four wheeler agriculture or allied equipment are also excluded from PMAY gramin yojana.
• Kisan credit card holder having limit of 50000 rupees are also kept outside PMAY gramin yojana.
• Households having any government employee are also kept outside.
• If any member of the family is earning more than 10000 rupees per month.
• Those who are paying income tax are also not included in Pradhan mantri awas yojana gramin.
• Professional tax payers also also excluded from PM awas yojana gramin or PMAY rural.
• Those who owns a landline phone are also not covered under PMAY gramin.
• Those who owns a refrigerator are also not covered under PMAY gramin.
• Landholder of more than 2.5 acres of irrigated land are also kept outside.
• 5 acers or more irrigated land for 2 or more crop seasons are not included.
• Households having total land of 7.5 acres (both irrigated or non irrigated) are kept out of Pradhan mantri awas yojana gramin.

Annual prioritization of beneficiaries from the PMAY rural Permanent waiting list.

• kutcha Houses with 0, 1, 2 rooms and with kutcha roof are given priority.
• House holds where no member is adult i.e. between age of 16 to 59.
• Female headed houses with no adult male member between age of 16 to 59.
• Households with any disabled member.
• Landless households.

For preparation of permanent waiting list data is collected from Socio economic and caste census 2011( SECC 2011). So, there may be possibilities that your name will not be there in permanent waiting list as you fall within PMAY Gramin criterion after 2011 or may be somehow your are not included.
